Come Dine With Me joins the millionaires club

The Channel 4 Come Dine with Me Facebook page has received its 1 millionth like, making it one of the most popular Facebook pages within the Channel 4 family alongside Skins, The Inbetweeners, Shameless and Misfits.

To celebrate, the charismatic and elusive voice of the series, Dave Lamb, has recorded a special message to all Facebook fans - incognito of course - thanking them for their "devoted fan-dom" and for "keeping [him] out of prison".

Now on air for the sixth year, the popular culinary programme regularly attracts ratings of over 2million for both daytime and peak series. And its Facebook page has proved just as popular providing a home for fans to air their opinions on the series.

Catch Come Dine with Me weekdays at 5.30pm and Fridays at 8pm on Channel 4.
