Guy Hibbert (Writer)

Guy Hibbert worked for several years as a stagehand before writing plays for the theatre. One of these plays, A Master Of The Marionettes, became a TV 'Play For Today' on BBC1 in 1989 and he has been writing screenplays ever since.   He has received a BAFTA for Best Drama twice (No Child of Mine with Peter Kosminsky in 1997 and Omagh with Paul Greengrass in 2005) and a third BAFTA Award for Best Writer, in 2010, for Five Minutes of Heaven.  Two other scripts, The Russian Bride and May 33d received BAFTA nominations.  Guy also won the World Cinema Screenwriting Award at Sundance in 2009 and the Christopher Ewart-Biggs Memorial Prize 2010 (Northern Ireland peace prize) both awards for Five Minutes of Heaven.  He has twice won the Mental Health Media Award for his contribution to the understanding of mental health issues in the UK.

Several screenplays set in Asia, Africa and Latin America are in development and he is also working on setting up a Screenwriting Academy in Africa.

 

Niall MacCormick (Director)

Niall MacCormick is a BAFTA nominated British director who crossed over from documentary to fiction in 2007.  Since then he has directed MARGARET THATCHER - THE LONG WALK TO FINCHLEY (2007), WALLANDER - FIREWALL (2008), ALBATROSS (2009), THE SONG OF LUNCH (2010) and HIDDEN (2011).

 

Kevin Toolis (Producer)

Kevin Toolis is a producer, writer and acknowledged terror expert. Toolis has reported on conflicts and terrorism from Ireland to the Middle East and won an Emmy nomination for his genre-defining Cult of the Suicide Bomber documentary series. Toolis has written screenplays for Universal Pictures and is the author of an acclaimed history of the Irish Troubles Rebel Hearts: Journeys Within the IRA's Soul. He is the founder of manyriversfilms.

 

Jolyon Symonds (Producer)

Jolyon has produced both television drama, including successful crime series "Thorne" for Sky, and feature films including smash hit "Kevin and Perry Go Large" with Harry Enfield and Tiger Aspect.

Through Highfield Pictures, his TV production company with actor David Morrissey, Jolyon has several high profile projects in the pipeline including Danny Brocklehurst's "The Driver", which has been greenlit by BBC for production early 2013.  He is also developing an adaptation of Mark Billingham's latest best-selling novel "Rush of Blood" for BBC1 through their company Partners in Crime Productions. 

Jolyon produced a number of award winning short films with directors including Sam Taylor-Wood, Daniel Kleinman and Justin Chadwick.  He acted as co-producer on German movie "Harald", then embarked on his first feature film "The Last Yellow" directed by Julian Farino and starring Samantha Morton and Mark Addy.  The following year, Jolyon produced the UK box office hit "Kevin and Perry Go Large."   His other film credits include Gillies Mackinnon's "The Escapist" and Spanish co-production "The Backwoods" starring Gary Oldman.

Alongside his feature film activities, Jolyon produced Granada's "Whatever Love Means" starring Laurence Fox and the fourth series of the Kudos / BBC show "Hustle." Jolyon then produced a season of "Trial and Retribution" for La Plante Productions, followed by the new Prime Suspect crime drama, "Above Suspicion" for ITV.
