Davina McCall: A Comedy Roast is hosted by Jimmy Carr and sees Davina take centre stage as she prepares to suffer an evening of insults and friendly abuse. There are also appearances by Chris Moyles, Dermot O'Leary, Julian Clary and Fearne Cotton
And of course no night with Davina could be complete without a large showing from her television offspring, the Big Brother contestants, including; Brain Dowling, Nikki Graeme, Sophie Reade, Brian Belo and Sam Pepper.
Davina McCall says: "I'm honoured/terrified at the thought of being roasted - I think I'm going to have the night of my life and laugh lots at my own expense - I can't wait!"
Channel 4's Head of Entertainment, Justin Gorman said:" We're thrilled that Davina is taking part, it will be a night to remember."
Previous roastees are legendary light-entertainment host and catchphrase king Bruce Forsyth, former dream-maker and rock-star wag Sharon Osbourne and professional fisherman and part-time quiz host Chris Tarrant.
The comedy 'roast' is a very popular and longstanding North American tradition. Simply put, the lucky recipient, or 'roastee', is treated to a public occasion of comedic insults and (every now and then) heartfelt praise from a line-up of friends and colleagues.
The abuse comes thick and fast, and usually in the form of classic one-liners. It's not surprising that many of the legends of American variety, comedy and entertainment have featured so heavily and artfully in these events over the decades.
Davina McCall: A Comedy Roast is an Monkey Kingdom production for Channel 4 commissioned by Syeda Irtizaali. Series producer is Chris Little, series director is Julian Smith and executive producers are Will Macdonald and David Granger.
