The Dog Show (w/t) is a new series commissioned by Channel 4 that sees dogs and their owners tackle a number of physical challenges with the winning partnership taking home a cash prize and an appearance at Crufts (Channel 4/ More4).

The 15 x 30 minutes series has been ordered by Sagina Shabaya, Commissioning Editor for daytime and off-peak, and will be exec produced by Tuesday’s Child’s Karen Smith and Will Spokes.

With approximately eight million dogs in the UK, the series will tap into the UK’s affection for everything canine through the ultimate team game.

Managing Director of Tuesday’s Child, Karen Smith said: “The Dog Show is a big entertainment event full of sporting drama and endeavour along with plenty of fun.”

The Dog Show offers owners and dogs the chance to pair-up and compete in challenging, genuine dog sports. All of the sports are based on the principles of good dog training techniques and are fun for the animals taking part. Supported by The Kennel Club, these include speed retrieval in water, speedball, triebball and the final spectacular dogstacle course.
