Dubai signs exclusive sponsorship deal with C4 for all UK horseracing
Category: News ReleaseChannel 4 today announces that Dubai has signed a new four-year deal to sponsor all the channel's horseracing coverage, as the network becomes the UK terrestrial home of the sport from 2013 through to 2016.
Dubai will sponsor broadcasts of iconic horseracing events including; Cheltenham Festival, Aintree's three-day John Smith's Grand National meeting, the Investec Derby Festival from Epsom Downs, Royal Ascot, Glorious Goodwood and the entire Flat Season QIPCO British Champions Series and Day as well as long-established coverage of Newbury, York, Chester, Newmarket race meetings and the entire flat season QIPCO British Champions Series.
The deal was brokered by Falcon and Associates and Channel 4.
Dubai has been the official sponsor of Channel 4's racing coverage since 2008.
Channel 4 also confirmed today that IMG Sports Media has won the four-year production rights for the corporation's exclusive horseracing coverage.
