The Snowman and The Snowdog  eBook

Thirty years ago this Christmas, Channel 4 broadcast The Snowman - an enchanting animated film that follows the adventures of a young boy and a truly remarkable Snowman, adapted from author and creator Raymond Briggs' iconic children's book The Snowman published by Puffin, an imprint of Penguin Children's.

This December will see Lupus Films, some of whose team worked on the Oscar nominated original film, introduce The Snowman and The Snowdog - a brand new sequel to the classic that will premiere on Channel 4 this Christmas.

To celebrate, Puffin will be publishing an audio eBook based on the film read by English actor Benedict Cumberbatch, star of BBC's Sherlock. The narration for the eBook has been crafted by both Puffin and Lupus Films.

Benedict Cumberbatch explains, "The magic of The Snowman is universal for every generation; as is the thrill of a first encounter with snow. And in this new story, to bring the Snowdog to life for new young readers was a joy. I hope it will become as much of a Christmas tradition as the beautiful original was when I was a boy."
