Ed Sheeran, Example & Big Narstie complete Celebrity Gogglebox line up

The Bafta award winning Gogglebox returns once again with a star-studded celebrity special for the fourth time. Music superstar Ed Sheeran along with fellow musician pals Example and Big Narstie complete the Celebrity Gogglebox line-up. The long standing mates will be will be kicking back on the Gogglebox sofa as part of Channel 4 and Cancer Research UK’s Stand Up To Cancer campaign on Friday 3rd November.
Also appearing on Celebrity Gogglebox with Ed, Example and Big Narstie will be Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn and comedy actress Jessica Hynes, rock star Liam Gallagher, his mum Peggy and son Gene, rock royalty Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne and sporting legends and good friends Freddie Flintoff and Jamie Redknapp.
This very special edition of the TV review programme will see the famous faces as they gawp and gossip at the week’s TV. Between their own cutting remarks, tears and laughter will be the views of Britain’s favourite opinionated viewers; the genuine Gogglebox households including Giles and Mary, hairdressers Christopher and Stephen and the Siddiquis.
Ed Sheeran said – “I’m such a huge fan of Gogglebox so it’s going to be weirdly surreal to actually be part of it with two of my closest friends but when it’s for an incredible cause like Stand Up To Cancer, how could we say no?”
Jeremy Corbyn – “I’m delighted to be involved in this year’s Gogglebox Stand Up To Cancer special. The campaign, in partnership with Cancer Research UK, does such important work for the thousands of people diagnosed with cancer in the UK every day and I’m honoured to have been invited to take part with Jessica in such a fun way.”
Jessica Hynes said – I absolutely love Gogglebox and couldn’t be more thrilled to be on it alongside Jeremy Corbyn. I’m slightly worried what he might think of my viewing tastes but it’s all for an excellent cause so I hope he’ll let it slide. I’m always happy to support the brilliant work that Stand Up To Cancer do.”

In recent years the shows has seen some unlikely celebrities share a sofa - all in the name of charity; from Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell to Jamie Dornan and Nick Frost, Boy George, Geri Horner and Marilyn, pop stars Olly Murs and Niall Horan and comedian Miranda Hart and her real life mother, Diana.
Launched in the UK in 2012, the joint national fundraising campaign from Cancer Research UK and Channel 4 raises funds for translational research, accelerating new cancer treatments and tests to UK patients to save more lives, more quickly. More than £38million has been raised in the UK to date and 40 trials and projects have been funded, with around 10,000 cancer patients either participating, or due to participate.
