Facejacker series 2. Talk to Me

Category: News Release

Bafta and British Comedy Award winner Kayvan Novak returns with a second series of Facejacker

Novak, who recently won the Best Comedy Performance in a British Film award at the British Comedy Awards (for his role as Waj, in Four Lions), made his first outing as the Facejacker in April 2010, bringing his cult E4 Fonejacker out from behind the woolly hat, and into primetime.

Disguised with the aid of prosthetics, Novak will return to showcase his amazing array of characters and voices, ably demonstrating his sublime comic improvisational skills.  His popular arsenal of comic creations include the charismatic and multi-divorced car salesman, Terry Tibbs, scamster Augustus Kwembe, the super irritating complainer, Dufrais and charlatan art critic Brian Badonde, along with several new characters.  All are thrust into real-life situations where they can baffle and confuse members of the public.

As well as travelling the length and breadth of Britain, the production team will spend several weeks filming in the US, bringing some of Novak's best known characters to an unsuspecting American public.

Shane Allen said: ‘Kayvan is an exceptional comic talent, his versatility and instincts are second to none.  He prolifically adds to his cannon of characters all the time and this second series of Facejacker will see a host of fresh new personas and yet more inspired set ups.  I personally love the fact that he's an incredibly handsome man who has to hide his good looks behind a load of peculiar prosthetics.  It's been incredibly gratifying to see him grow as a performer, and be richly rewarded at Baftas and British Comedy Awards for his work.'

Facejacker is a Hat Trick Production for Channel 4.  The Executive Producer is Helen Williams, and the Producer is Tom Thostrup.
