THE SECRET LIFE OF THE ZOO CONTINUES WEDNESDAY AT 8 pm

 

This week: 

Tragedy strikes at Chester in the middle of a home move for the penguins.  Most at risk are beloved OAP penguin partners, Rudd and Spike, who've been together nearly twenty years, and emotions run high among the keepers in their attempts to keep them safe as malaria threatens the entire colony.

Elsewhere Sumatran orangutan Emma gives birth but her five-year-old son Tripa suffers as a result, and Mosi, the runt of the African painted dog litter, is getting left behind.

And deep in the insect house, the horned beetles square up for a mating ritual that could end in death.
