Film4's Films For Life returns for a second season in April. Celebrating ‘films that stay with you', this line-up of beloved movies old and new ranges from Casablanca and Dr. Strangelove to Jackie Chan in Snake In the Eagle's Shadow and German epic Das Boot. The season also includes premieres of Steven Soderbergh's Che: Parts I and II, Jeff Bridges in Crazy Heart and martial-arts sequel Ip Man 2.

A thrilling Revenge season in May includes channel premieres of Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds and the tough thriller Law Abiding Citizen, starring Gerard Butler. Meanwhile, the channel hosts premieres of a number of intriguing independent films - the British comedy about the art of stand-up, Huge; the American indie twist on the detective film, Cold Weather; and Kelly Reichardt's beautiful Old West drama Meek's Cutoff, part of a season devoted to the distinctive director.

A season of films from Africa brings together films that span the continent, including premieres of Johnny Mad Dog from Liberia; A Screaming Man from Chad; and Viva Riva! and documentary Benda Bilili!, both from the DRC. The channel's commitment to the best in world cinema continues with premieres of the unique Italian film Le Quattro Volte; Turkish award-winner Bal; South Korean drama Poetry; and East Asian action spectacles The Shinjuku Incident, Chocolate and Detective Dee.

August sees the return of Film4 FrightFest, with the festival on the big-screen and the season on the channel. Set for the season are Adam Green's highwire horror Frozen and the Eli Roth-produced first-person frightener The Last Exorcism.
