Film4 acting talent honoured at London Critics Circle Awards

A raft of acting prizes were won for performances in Film4 films at the London Critics Circle Awards last night.
Meryl Streep won Actress of the Year (tied with Anna Paquin) for her uncanny performance as Margaret Thatcher in The Iron Lady; Olivia Colman was awarded the Best British Actress prize for her much-lauded performance in Tyrannosaur; Michael Fassbender took home Best British Actor for his astonishing turn in Shame; and Craig Roberts was named Young British Performer of the Year for his accomplished breakthrough in Submarine.
Steve McQueen's Shame, currently playing in UK cinemas, was also named one of the Top 10 Films of 2011.
The ceremony was held at BFI Southbank and was hosted by Critics Circle Chairman Jason Solomons.
