Films on Channel 4

This summer Channel 4 premieres Joe Cornish's feature-film directorial debut, putting a South London spin on the alien invasion genre in the Film4 production Attack the Block.

Pupils compete against one another in the battle of the bands in Bandslam and the wayward schoolgirls are back in St Trinian's 2: The Legend of Fritton's Gold (both premieres).

The channel also premieres two distinctive sci-fi movies. Christian Bale does battle against the machines in Terminator Salvation and director Neill Blomkamp offers an original science fiction vision in District 9.

Finally the channel premieres two very different love stories: Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson return as star-crossed lovers Bella and Edward in Twilight: New Moon, the second film in the hugely successful franchise, whilst Channing Tatum and Amanda Seyfried fall head over heels in Dear John.
