Category: News Release

Boy George, Derren Brown, Johnny Vegas, Sue Perkins, Rose Wylie, Sir Frank Bowling, Nigella Lawson, Yinka Ilori, Sophie Ellis-Bextor and David Bailey are just some of the first names confirmed for series 2

The critically acclaimed first series in 2020, Grayson’s Art Club, captured the hearts of the nation, when award-winning artist Grayson Perry and his wife Philippa Perry invited the great British public into their studio when the country needed it most.

From 26th February at 8pm on Channel 4, Grayson invites viewers to join his Art Club for a second time. Full to the brim of celebrity guests, world-renowned artists and public participants, the series will see Grayson speak with his guests as they share insights into their creative processes and art work they’ve created. Alongside a selection of art made by the amateur artists from across the Nation, Grayson and Philippa will once again be getting their hands dirty and creating their own works in response to a set of exciting themes.

The first celebrity guests who’ll be creating brand new works of art in response to Grayson’s themes are musician Boy George, illusionist Derren Brown, actor Russell Tovey, presenters Sue Perkins and Konnie Huq, and comedians Johnny Vegas and Mawaan Rizwan. Food writer and television chef Nigella Lawson will be giving Grayson a helping hand during food week to select some of the public submissions whilst pop-star Sophie Ellis-Bextor will also make a guest appearance in Dreams week.

Grayson will also be paying a virtual visit to fellow artists’ studios including Yinka Illori, David Bailey, Rose Wylie, Sir Frank Bowling and Ryan Gander.

The six-episode run will see Grayson incorporate weekly themes for members of the public to submit artwork to. The themes for series two are Family, Nature, Food, Dreams, Work and Travel.

Details on how to submit art work for each theme can be found at https://www.graysonsartclub.com/. Further celebrity and artist names will be revealed at a later in the series. The first series of Grayson’s Art Club is now available to view on All 4.
