Friday nights are more fun on Channel 4
Category: News ReleaseChannel 4 continued its success without Big Brother again last week, with the core channel scoring a 7.2% share against 7.0% the same week last year.
The week also saw Channel 4's new Friday night entertainment schedule get off to a good start, with the launch of a brand new series, King of... along with successful returns for both 8 Out of Ten Cats and Alan Carr Chatty Man.
Alan Carr Chatty Man came back with a bang, peaking at 2.1m viewers and taking a 9.7% share - up on the premiere of the previous series average of 9.6%.
8 Out of Ten Cats made a welcome return, and peaked at 1.9m viewers with a 8.3% share. It performed particularly strongly amongst the 16-34 demographic, achieving a share of 17.6%.
Claudia Winkleman's new series, King Of..., peaked with 1.5m viewers and a 6.9% share, proving a hit with a young audience with 40% of its audience comprised of 16-34 year olds.
