Gogglebox pull off art cheeky gallery stunt

A Gogglebox portrait made an unofficial guest appearance at one of Britain's most prestigious art galleries yesterday. Watch the embeddable video here.  To download images, go here.

The picture of Steph and Dom from the hit Channel 4 TV series Gogglebox was spotted on public display in the National Portrait Gallery.

The 7ft wide life sized portrait depicted ‘the posh couple’ sipping champagne while sitting on a sofa, was apparently brought into the gallery under the noses of security staff.

It was spotted in the popular contemporary gallery next to a portrait of Sir Paul McCartney by artist Sam Walsh. 

 The venue’s first floor contemporary gallery displays artists and sitters from 1960 to the present day.
