It was three times a winner for Channel 4’s acquisitions at last night’s 72nd Annual Golden Globe® Awards in Beverly Hills.

Fargo - which aired on Channel 4 in April - triumphed in the Best TV Mini-Series category, whilst Billy Bob Thornton pipped co-star Martin Freeman to the post in picking up the coveted Best Actor in a Mini-Series.

New E4 acquisition, Jane The Virgin, also proved a success as lead actress Gina Rodriguez beat the likes of Lena Dunham, Edie Falco, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Taylor Schilling – to win the Best Actress in a Comedy Series gong.  Jane The Virgin launches on E4 this spring.

The 72nd Annual Golden Globe® Awards were hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.
