The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer

Category: News Release

The Great British Bake Off returns with five special episodes for Stand Up To Cancer. In each episode of The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer Sandi Toksvig and Noel Fielding are joined by four different celebrities all aiming to impress judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith with their baking skills.

Over 5 episodes Paul and Prue set 15 exciting new baking challenges; pushing the celebrities to their baking limits. But only one celebrity per episode will be awarded the coveted star baker apron. On your marks, get set, bake for Stand Up To Cancer!

In the second episode of The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer, Noel Fielding and Sandi Toksvig invite four more celebrities to the tent to test their baking skills. They are Countdown’s Nick Hewer, singer and tv personality Stacey Solomon, The Kaiser Chiefs’ Ricky Wilson and dance troupe Diversity’s Perri Kiely.

There’s fierce competition amongst the celebrity bakers in their quest to impress the judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith. The bakers tackle that afternoon tea classic – scones; followed by a devilish technical, and finally they stand up to the showstopper challenge with self-portrait croquembouches.

So who will concoct a recipe for disaster and who will manage to keep their cool and be awarded the star baker apron? Whether they triumph or their bakes fall flat they are all baking to raise money for Stand Up To Cancer, and to encourage viewers to do the same.

Stand Up To Cancer is a joint national fundraising campaign from Cancer Research UK and Channel 4 to accelerate ground breaking cancer research and save more lives, more quickly.
