Gretna Green weddings under the Firecracker spotlight

Gretna Green is one of the world’s most famous wedding destinations and has been host to thousands of runaway weddings over the generations.

This summer Firecracker Films will follow the brides and grooms who have chosen to marry or renew their vows in the town over one summer.

Set in the wedding capital of Europe, Wedding Town, will be a warm and entertaining look at those who choose to marry here and the people working behind the scenes to make each ceremony special.

From the wedding planners, professional witnesses, florists, cake makers and even pipers, Wedding Town will follow all of the drama and the romance of each ceremony and those that made it perfect.

The 15x30 series was commissioned by Madeleine Knight for Channel 4 Daytime.  The Executive producer is David Dehaney for Firecracker Films
