Hollyoaks tops the British Soap Awards nominations

Channel 4’s Hollyoaks leads the pack in the shortlists for this year’s British Soap Awards, announced today. The series has more nominations that any other soap with a total of 20 nominations.

Nominations include 12 in the viewer-voted categories including Best Actor, Best Actress, Villain of the Year, Sexiest Male, Sexiest Female and the coveted Best Soap award. This sits alongside 8 nominations in the panel-voted categories.

The second round of viewer voting is now open until Friday 23rd May, with the winners being announced at a ceremony in London on Saturday 24th May.
