It's sibling rivalry for TV Presenter Scarlette Douglas and her brother Stuart as they go head-to-head in a special edition of Love It Or List It for Channel 4's Black To Front Project

Category: News Release

TV Presenter Scarlette (A Place in The Sun) and her former footballer brother, Stuart, will be putting their experience and expertise to good use and taking the reins for a special version of hit property show, Love it or List it.

The siblings have always had a passion for property and have been running a successful property development, interior design and renovation business for 15 years, making them the perfect pair to help fed-up homeowners decide whether to renovate or sell their property for a new one.

Those fed-up homeowners are Norbert and Shammie who have been living in their house in Ipswich for the past 8 years with Norbert’s mum, Lucia and their two children, Naomi and Tyrell.

They bought the house initially as they believed it had huge potential and have already renovated the garage into a bedroom for Lucia. With a teenager daughter hogging the only bathroom in the house and a small kitchen you can barely swing a cat in, the family are now in desperate need of more space.

Norbert loves the house and thinks it can become their dream home with a few changes, however, Shammie is convinced they have outgrown the property and longs for a detached house in a village location with an open plan kitchen and more importantly, a second bathroom.

The competition is on as Scarlette joins forces with Shammie for ‘Team List it’, whilst Stuart and Norbert are on ‘Team Love it’.

Convinced he’s got the win in the bag, Stuart gets to work on showing the couple that by knocking down a few walls and transforming their house into a stylish space, it will help create a home for everyone to enjoy. Meanwhile, Scarlette has several fantastic properties lined up to persuade them it’s time to sell up and put their house on the market.

Scarlette commented, “I am extremely proud and excited to be a part of C4’s Black to Front day of programming. It’s such an important day and to be a part of the legacy it will hopefully leave is a privilege.

Stuart and I have worked on numerous projects together, but this is the first time we have gone head-to-head in a challenge. I love a bit of healthy competition and relish the opportunity to win against my brother on such an historic day!”

Stuart added, “It’s an honour and a privilege to be involved in C4’s Black to Front Project. Unfortunately social media has become a platform for public outbursts of offensive and hurtful remarks. This initiative is a celebration of all black and dual heritage British citizens, our achievements and our continued fight against racism. In this groundbreaking episode of Love it or List it, I desperately want to be the victorious sibling (and think that I will!) but this day and what it stands for is the real winner.”

This new on-screen property partnership will return to our screens next year as Scarlette and Stuart join as hosts of new Channel 4 series Flipping Fast.

Will Shammie and Norbert decide to Love it or List it?  All’s fair in love and war. Let the battle commence!

Love it or List it is a Raise the Roof production for Channel 4.
