BACKGROUND:
Like Danny and Ben, Jamie came to New York to advance his career as a male model, when he was just 18. He’s the alpha male of the lad pad and has earned his status through his honesty, strong opinions and bachelor lifestyle.
Unsurprisingly Jamie is a firm hit with the ladies, though ironically despite being a model he’s teased that he has no style. He only owns three pairs of jeans, four shirts and one pair of boots that are from one of your Mum’s favourite department stores.

CAREER:
Jamie is successful as a model and has anchored campaigns for the likes of Tom Ford and Calvin Klein. However he knows that modelling can sometimes be short-lived and would like to open his own bar in NY one day.

LOVE LIFE:
Jamie has never really got over his ex and as a result he doesn’t date or ‘do romance’ as he doesn’t want girls to expect anything from him. He prides himself on his honesty with the opposite sex and his opening line tends to be, “I don’t want a relationship, this is just fun…” It remains to be seen whether one of the TNY girls will change his mind…

Q&A With JAMIE:

What made you decide to move to New York?
I began a modelling career in London, aged 16, and had heard from people in the industry that NYC was a great place to earn money so I decided to give it a try.

Is New York life different to how you thought it would be and what people see in shows like Girls and FRIENDS?
To be honest I fully expected it to be tough. From where i came from, Braintree in Essex, I found the move to London to be pretty rough. I wasn’t the kind of person that liked busy cities, so I knew from watching TV what NYC had in store for me, and FRIENDS did it NO justice!! Understandably as that was shot in a studio in LA, I was also pretty pissed when I couldn’t visit Central Perk as it didn’t exist!

Which of the cast do you fancy the most?
Amy. We got on very well from the beginning. All of the girls are attractive, but I find both of the twins to be great people, they are both sweethearts.

So you live with Ben and Danny, what’s the dynamic like in the flat? What are the guys’ worst habits?
I couldn't be happier living with them. We all have our moments Dan’s general dopiness and Ben's morning tantrums I’m sure my habits of bringing people back for parties after a night out will be mentioned among other things, but we all get on very well and always have. It’s great to have such close mates under the same roof and going through the same experiences, it helps keep you sane in New York, and now to do this show with them is pretty nuts to say the least.

We hear aside from being a talented barman you’re an aspiring film director, who would you want to cast in your first blockbuster movie and where would you set it?
I would cast my friends who are aspiring to be actors and would have to set it in NYC (ideally throw a little Eva Mendez in the mix!) I recently wrote a monologue about the troubles of living in New York and noticing the constant judgement of others, mostly to do with the harsh wealth distribution here. I am looking to shoot it this year as a short and will be starring my good friend who just finished a two year course at Lee Strassburg, so I’m excited about that. Or I would cast the Victoria’s Secret models in a horror flick set in the Bahamas but no preference! :-P
