Jamie does it outdoors for Channel 4

Channel 4 has commissioned a one-hour special, Jamie Does It Outdoors (working title), in which Jamie Oliver introduces some amazing summer mealtime recipes to be cooked outdoors, on camping trips, or just in your own back garden - all set against the extraordinary, uplifting backdrop of a real music festival.

Produced by Fresh One, the show will be jam-packed with action, powerful performances and of course fantastic food and will capture the buzz, energy and excitement of summer  - to inspire viewers to enjoy the great outdoors with good friends and fabulous food. 

Jamie will be cooking in his outdoors camp kitchen as well as other locations and will be introducing viewers to some of the basic equipment that will help transform burnt burgers into a truly inspiring dish. He will also pack a box of camping kitchen essentials to never leave home without.

Jamie will divulge BBQ-ing techniques and pit-roasting ideas that will raise average camp food into something that will bring the neighbours climbing over the walls. 

The 1x60 programme has been ordered by Channel 4 Factual Entertainment Commissioning Editor Dominique Walker and will air in mid-August. It will be executive produced by Zoe Collins.
