Jockeys join Radio 1 DJ on Sport Relief Challenge
Category: News ReleaseJump jockeys Aidan Coleman, Sam Twiston-Davies and Mattie Batchelor, together with Channel 4 Racing's Emma Spencer will join Radio1 Breakfast presenter, Nick Grimshaw later today during his 12 hour cycle for Sport Relief.
Swapping racehorses for bikes, the foursome will join Nick in a large, transparent box at the BBC's Broadcasting House as he bids to rack up an astonishing 1000 miles in 12 hours. Nick's challenge began at 7am during his Breakfast Show, with the racing team cycling in support of him between 6.20pm and 6.40pm, shortly before the challenge ends at 7pm during Greg James' Drivetime show.
The initiative will raise money for Sport Relief which supports poor and vulnerable people here in the UK and around the world. Members of the public can also get involved by taking part in a run, swim or cycle at the Sport Relief Games, from 21st – 23rd March.
