John Barrowman to present Channel 4's Superstar Dogs

Popular television presenter and dog-lover John Barrowman is to present new Channel 4 daytime series Superstar Dogs, in partnership with Be Lungworm Aware. The series is due to TX in the lead up to Crufts (More4).

Produced by Tuesday’s Child, the series, will tap into the UK’s affection for everything canine. With dogs and their owners from all over the UK competing in a number of challenges and the final spectacular Dogstacle Course, the series promises to be full of sporting drama and entertainment. After weeks of competition the eventual winner will be crowned at Crufts.

John said: “I have a passion for animals, dogs in particular, so I am hugely excited to be part of a sporting event for dogs and their owners that encourages teamwork, competitive spirit and a large dose of fun and laughter! Having dogs myself, I know the determination, love and commitment you need to train them - it’s not easy!”

Superstar Dogs is being sponsored by Be Lungworm Aware, a campaign from Bayer Animal Health aimed at warning owners of the dangers of the potentially fatal lungworm parasite, which is spread by common slugs and snails.
