Lee and Dean: Meet the Lads and Ladies
Category: News Release
Lee played by Miles Chapman
Everyone who knows Lee agrees – he’s a top bloke. Salt of the earth. Always up for lagers, laughs and the ladies… until, that is, he meets someone he’s truly fallen for. He’s at a bit of a crossroads (or, more accurately for Stevenage, mini-roundabout) – grow up and settle down, or keep things as they are, sharing his bachelor flat with BFF Dean…
Dean played by Mark O’Sullivan
Poor Dean’s had a tough ride. Picked on at school (and at home, by his dad, Terry), he was fortunate to be taken under the wing of best friend Lee. Dean and Lee share everything – a building firm, a flat, holidays, nights out, bark rubbing (yes, bark rubbing – got a problem with that?) They’re practically a married couple. And that’s how sensitive, part-time poet Dean likes it.
Nikki played by Camille Ucan
Big-hearted, caring, ditzy - it’s impossible not to love Nikki (unless you’re her sister). She’s a breath of fresh air when she catapults into the boys’ lives. Her sweet nature means she usually sees the best in everyone, even when there’s not much on show.
Mrs (Pippa) Bryce-D’Souza played by Anna Morris
Pippa employed the boys to build her extension, and has got used to having the lads around. It might have something to do with her penchant for bit-of-rough Lee. Although she’s from a different class (and, pretty much, a different world) to the boys, Pippa finds unlikely alliances and friendships from the other side of Stevenage.
Little Dean played by Sam Underwood
The baby of the building firm, Little Dean (real name Craig – no one’s really sure why he’s known as Little Dean) wears his heart on his shiny-shirted sleeve. He’s old before his time, and permanently lovesick (although his affections can shift faster than Shitty Mick when it’s his round at The Cock pub).
Nightmare played by Eoin McSorley
Why’s he called Nightmare? Simple. He’s a bloody nightmare. But, like everyone else, he does have a soft side.
Shitty Mick played by Mark Sharp
So-called because he ‘just moves shit about all day’, Shitty Mick’s dirt-splattered face is often to be found frowning (especially when he’s accompanied by his perma-sick other half, Lynn).
Midnight played by Jason Barnett
Midnight’s the joker of the pack – and his favourite victim is usually Dean. But his practical jokes have a habit of backfiring, with dire consequences.
Sheets played by Sean Miller
Sheets doesn’t say much. And when he does, his colleagues often can’t understand his slight northern twang. But he knows how to have a good time, does Sheets (though he often can’t remember it).
Jonty played by Ramon Tikaram
Mrs Bryce-D’Souza’s stylish ex has been away to ‘find himself’. Now he’s back, and charming everyone around him… except his estranged wife.
Alan played by Ricky Grover
Bighearted and tactile, Alan always dreamed his daughter Nikki would find a Prince – and Lee is exactly what he hoped for.
