Following the highest rated series yet, E4’s BAFTA award-winning Made in Chelsea has been commissioned for a further three series. The glamorous, globetrotting socialites have kept viewers glued for the past five series and the extended deal secures their place on E4 until the end of 2014. The sixth series will return to screens this autumn 12x60mins (starts Monday 14th October, 10pm, E4).

Shocking drama, complicated relationships and immaculate fashion has helped series five become the most watched Made in Chelsea run so far with a series average of 1.1 million viewers / 5.7% share.

Dominic Bird, C4’s Head of Formats, said: “Following an unmissable series five and a BAFTA award, we’re delighted to be able to show our commitment with a three series deal. We look forward to following the lives and loves of the Chelsea set over the next year.”

Sarah Dillistone, Executive Producer at Monkey Kingdom, adds: “I’m delighted that we’ve been re-commissioned for a further three series. All the cast are hugely excited and we’ll also be introducing some new faces to the show who promise to bring even more drama to SW3 over the next year and a half.”

Fans have also been voicing their appreciation and opinions on social media with episode one breaking Twitter records, attracting a total 304K tweets - not only a show record but also the highest number of tweets for one programme that week.  Made in Chelsea also is one of the first E4 brands to have its own YouTube channel, with 16K subscribers and the show’s featured music being the most popular brand on the new E4 Spotify app, with over 120K plays to date.

Since hitting the screens in May 2011, Made in Chelsea has been E4's biggest non-scripted success. It remains one of Channel 4's most talked about shows, trends worldwide on twitter and is regularly the most watched programme on 4oD.

Made by Monkey for E4, Made In Chelsea was commissioned by Dominic Bird and Jilly Pearce. Executive Producers are Sarah Dillistone and David Granger, Series Editor is Andrew Jackman and the Series Producer is Ros Coward.
