Married at First Sight UK adds third expert, Charlene Douglas as a sex and relationship therapist
Category: News ReleaseAhead of the brand-new series of Married at First Sight UK coming to screens later this year, E4 is excited to reveal that a third expert will be joining previously announced relationship experts Mel Schilling (Married at First Sight Australia) and Paul C. Brunson (Celebs Go Dating) to help guide the new couples through the early stages of married life.
Charlene Douglas will join the series as a Sex and Relationship Therapist, which will see her working with the couples as they navigate their new relationships and get to know their partners on a more intimate level.
At each commitment ceremony, she’ll spend time getting to know and understanding the dynamics of each couple, to help guide them and resolve any issues they may be having, especially any relating to intimacy or sex.
Charlene is an experienced Sex and Relationship Therapist based in London and has successfully worked with many couples across her career. Not afraid to ask the tough questions, Charlene has developed a practice that allows couples to connect more deeply, communicate better, build trust and enjoy love and sex. Charlene has also appeared as a sex therapist on E4 show, The Sex Clinic, alongside other TV appearances.
Upon joining the series, Charlene said: “I am delighted to be joining this new series of Married at First Sight UK. This is a brand-new role for the show and it is important to remember that these couples have just met and are going to be getting to know each other quickly. I’m really looking forward to getting to know them all and digging deeper into their relationships and finding new ways for them to connect on a more intimate level. It’s also really interesting to bring my knowledge alongside the expertise of Mel and Paul. As a trio, I think we will make a really great team.”
Over 20 episodes, this new version of Married at First Sight UK takes inspiration from the hugely successful Australian version that gripped British viewers earlier this year. The new UK series will be a bigger, more dramatic take on the format, following a fresh batch of singles as they search for love and a happy-ever-after with complete strangers.
Married at First Sight UK will arrive on E4 later this year. More information will be revealed closer to broadcast.
