Matt Edmondson to join T4 presenting team

T4 is delighted to welcome a brand new presenter to their fold.  Matt Edmondson will host his very first show on the weekend of 23/24th April alongside Jameela.  Matt can already been seen on Channel 4's Freshly Squeezed

Matt says: "When I got the call from Channel 4 asking me to join their best team of presenters I thought "won't I end up being a third wheel in the Phil and Kirsty dynamic?" Then they clarified that they were talking about T4, which is almost as good. Given the recent departure of Steve Jones, I can understand why they have chosen an equally attractive replacement. I look forward to bothering popstars and introducing Hollyoaks on your TV soon."

Last year we were particularly impressed with his work across T4 shows such as Pocket TV and through his coverage of RockCorps and the V Festival. His dedication, charm and thorough knowledge of all things T4 meant it was only a matter of time before he'd permanently infiltrate the team and join ranks with Rick, Jameela, Nick and Georgie. It's great to have him onboard."

From an early age Matt had his eye on a career in broadcasting.  He started out as a writer for SMTV.  He became widely known for his irreverent interview style for Holy Moly TV.  Matt was the official face of the "Fan Factor" in a new online weekly show on the 2010 XFactor website - it took a cheeky look at the XFactor live shows.

More recently he joined Radio 1, alongside Fearne Cotton every Friday for the "Big Five", the latest entertainment showsbiz news stories of the week.  Its also been recently announced that he will have his own show on this station - the first starting on  6th April - every Wednesday from 9-10pm.
