Running a thriving career as a publicist, Billie has worked with a raft of well-known celebrities and businesses in her career and cites one of her key strengths as the ability to cope well under pressure. Billie, who is single and lives alone, is the daughter of presenter Trisha Goddard and whilst she couldn’t be prouder to have such a strong, black role model in her life, she is an individual with her own voice. As a result of childhood trauma, five years ago Billie went through the darkest period of her life and her drug and alcohol addiction spiralled. Getting herself clean and sober, Billie has now become an advocate for addiction and mental health issues
Why have you agreed to do a show that you know nothing about?
I guess I’m a bit of a nutter. That’s how my friends would describe me! I live alone and due to lockdown, I’ve been completely on my own since March and have had a long time to think about my life. All I’ve done for the last eight years is work, I saw the callout for the show and thought ‘what the hell?’ I felt like the universe was giving me a sign, so I signed up.
What do you think you're going to bring to the show?
I am a very strategic thinker, a very good problem solver – it's what I do for a living. I'm very, very good at coming up with solutions under pressure. It's not a practical skill, but I think it’s important.
What does your mum (TV presenter Trisha Goddard) think about you doing this?
She's apprehensive, but also encouraging. She’s nervous because obviously we know nothing about the show. She’s nervous about reality shows in general, which I don't blame her for, but she is very, very supportive and she understands that I'm a bit stuck in a rut in life.
