Clare Balding is one of the UK’s leading broadcasters and will lead Channel 4’s racing coverage. Her expertise and warmth will bring a new audience to the programmes working alongside a combination of familiar and new talent.
Clare has been a sports presenter on television after becoming the face of the BBC’s racing output in 1998. Since then, she has been voted RTS Sports Presenter of the Year, Racing Journalist of the Year and worked on four Olympic Games, three Paralympics and three Winter Olympics. Clare says she is absolutely thrilled at being part of the Channel 4 racing team. “Racing is my 'home' sport and I am delighted that I will still be part of its coverage on TV. I am excited by Channel 4's plans for their coverage and the way in which they have committed to expanding the profile of jockeys, trainers and horses."
