Meet the Married at First Sight UK Singles of 2024

Category: News Release

You’re invited to the weddings of the season!

Wedding bells are ringing out across the land as Married at First Sight UK returns to E4 for a brand-new series.

After three hugely successful series on E4, two BAFTA nominations and even a baby, the upcoming fourth series is set to be jam packed with the usual cocktail of love, romance and drama, as a fresh batch of brave singles prepare to say ‘I do’ to a complete stranger.

As always, there’ll be the usual stunning wedding ceremonies and sun-soaked honeymoons as the couples all enter into this life changing experiment.

They’ll move in together, attend dramatic dinner parties and reunite at commitment ceremonies where every marriage is put under the microscope and scrutinised by our relationship experts.

Speaking of experts - back to match and guide our couples are Paul C. Brunson, Melanie Schilling and Charlene Douglas.

So get ready for another emotional rollercoaster as Married at First Sight UK prepares to take over your life for nine weeks.

The Brides

Emma
31, Sales Manager, Bristol

“I think the experts are going to do me a solid and find me a nice match.”

Super positive and driven, Emma has a thirst for succeeding in her career and climbing the corporate ladder in her Sales Manager role. In her spare time, she swaps her deals at work for her favourite hobbies – wild swimming, climbing mountains, competing in triathlons and conquering the slopes of Courchevel, as well as baking and hosting dinner parties.

Emma drew on her adventures on the dating scene as inspiration for a blog, entitled 'Man of the Month’, which followed her encounters with a different man each month, referred to as Mr. January, Mr. February…. Sadly, she never sparked a lasting connection, and has never had a serious long-term relationship.

Emma’s search for a meaningful partnership extends beyond just emotional compatibility; she also seeks intellectual stimulation and someone who is passionate and ambitious.

Sacha
29, Aesthetics Practitioner, Birmingham

“A red flag to me is someone not liking cats. I was always told to never trust a man that doesn’t like cats.”

Proud Brummie Sacha lives with her two cats, Olive and Diego. Coming from a competitive family, being a go-getter runs in her blood and pushes her to be as ambitious as she possibly can be. As well as becoming a dedicated kickboxer, Sacha has been in beauty pageants since she was six, and was even crowned Miss Birmingham, in 2018.

With family being so close to her heart, Sacha is extremely close to her father. Citing herself as a ‘Daddy’s girl’, she’ll stop at nothing to impress her father, who holds traditional family values – and so far, no man has lived up to his expectations. So, whomever the experts pair her with will have to impress him, before she can fully invest.

Sacha has only ever had one long term relationship, which lasted three years. Single for the last nine months, she made the decision to become celibate until the right man comes along. But to impress this beauty queen, they’ve got to be funny, loyal and ultimately love cats as much as she does!

Kristina
31 Dog Walker, East Sussex

“I wanted to sign up because I felt like I was ready to meet the love of my life.”

Eccentric animal lover Kristina is a total live wire and comes from a small seaside town where everyone knows everyone, making it very hard for her to meet anyone new. After starting her working life in the care sector, she turned her attentions to caring for animals and trained in animal reiki.

Kristina suffers with severe PMDD symptoms and hopes to meet someone who can support her and accept her, as this is a big part of her life. Single again, following two serious relationships, Kristina is focused on finding her forever person. She’s looking for a tall, dark, cheeky chappy, someone who is fun and can match her energy levels.

Eve
31, Fitness Coach, Omagh

“I want to find somebody that I fall in love with and I want somebody to fall in love with me. “

Fitness is a huge part of Eve’s day-to-day life, and she takes pride in her daily routine as a fitness coach.

Eve’s first serious relationship was with a man and at one point she was due to get married. After realising she was gay at 26, Eve has had one serious relationship and has been single for the last two years. Now, she’s ready to find her dream girl and would love to meet someone who works hard and is motivated.

Will the experts find Mrs Right for Eve?

Holly
29, Beautician, Huddersfield

“I want to gain love, work on myself as well, and learn how to trust again.”

Single mum-of-two Holly is keen to get married, but no one is keener for her to tie the knot than her loving mum and dad, who are hoping she finds her Prince Charming. As the last in the family yet to say ‘I do’, Holly is determined and ready to meet her husband. Holly had her first child at 16, after not knowing she was pregnant until 37 weeks into her pregnancy.

After a series of relationships, Holly has had no problem bagging a date, but struggles to find and build a genuine and lasting connection. Confident in who she is, she wants a man who is cheeky, masculine and charming.

Holly doesn’t care about the expensive gifts or date nights, she just wants the simple things in life and to be treated well - someone to make her a cuppa and to love her for who she really is.

Charlie
30, Lettings Operations Co-ordinator, Surrey

“I’m at the age now where I want to settle down.”

Life of the party Charlie came out as gay when she was 25. She cites her coming out as one of the most significant moments in her life. Now able to be her authentic and true self, Charlie has never looked back and is happier than she ever has been before.

After navigating a series of ‘situationships’ and going through a difficult break up, Charlie has been single for the past four years.  She wants to settle down and start a family but needs the help of the experts to find what she’s been missing.

Keen to find someone with heaps of energy, will the experts pair her with someone who can burst the situationship bubble?

Richelle
48, Head of Alternative Investments, London

“It’d be nice to, when I look back at my life when I’m older, say I’ve had a once in a lifetime experience.”

Born in Guyana, Richelle and her family moved to London when she was two years old, and she now splits her time between Guyana and the UK, where her 20-year-old daughter lives. She studied a degree in Politics before going on to be a successful business consultant.

While she’s achieved a lot in life, Richelle feels she is missing “a partner”, but won’t settle for anything less than amazing.

No longer willing to settle for less than she’s worth, Richelle is hoping the experts will find someone for her who is funny, fit, tall, driven, successful and financially independent – will they get it right?

Polly
28, Careers Advisor, Kent

“I’m excited to go into the unknown, to have things that aren’t in my control and to just go into it open minded.”

Unapologetically herself, Polly is not afraid to say what is on her mind. Coming from a large family, Polly is keen to get started on building her own. Single for the past seven months, Polly is always the bridesmaid and never the bride, but she is determined to change that, and this time be the one wearing white.

With her longest relationship lasting six years (on and off), Polly has rejected the idea of dating apps, as she wants to create meaningful connections and find a man who treats her the way that her father does.

Polly wants to find someone emotionally available, considerate and thoughtful. And she’s adamant that the experts bring her the ‘beefcake tradesman’ she’s always dreamt of.

Lacey
27, Office Manager, Hertfordshire

“I’d love to get a husband. I’m thinking long term so husband, babies, travel then move in together.”

Confident, loud and sassy, Lacey brings the fun to social situations. Her positive and vibrant attitude has seen her through ups and downs and has shaped the person she is today.

Lacey is a ‘miracle’ IVF baby and has a twin sister whom she is extremely close to. But Lacey’s husband must not only win her twin sister’s seal of approval, he also needs to seriously impress her mum, who always wants the best of the best for Lacey.

Despite being a serial dater, Lacey has been single for the past four years, after a decade-long relationship broke down. She wants to get rid of all the f*** boys in her life and find someone who will love her for her. They need to have banter, emotional intelligence and make her laugh.

The Grooms

Adam
33, Barber, Nottingham

“I would love the happily ever after.”

Barber Adam comes from a large family and feels that he’s ready and eager to settle down and have a family of his own. His last relationship ended after they grew apart, so Adam has been single for the past 15 months.

He says that he’s never been in love before or met someone that he sees a future with, but with his very high standards, Adam is a perfectionist when it comes to picking his partners.

While he’s ready for the ‘movie magic’ romance, he’s worried that it may never happen for him. Will the experts be able to change his luck?

Alex
28, Aviation Operations, Birmingham

“Maybe the experts can help me work out where I’ve been going wrong.”

Focussed and driven, Alex knows the true meaning of work hard / play hard and works full time in Aviation, but has the ambition to focus on fulfilling his dreams of becoming a professional boxer.

Alex wants to rid himself of his ‘man about town’ reputation and find a stable relationship. Single for the last seven months, Alex knows exactly what he wants – to bring someone home to the most important woman in his life: his mother. He is looking for someone who has depth and who will keep him on his toes, as he never wants to be bored.

Caspar
34, Head Gardener, New Forest

I want the wife. I want the 2.4 kids, white picket fence. I hope this process does this for me. “

Nature enthusiast Caspar lives with his two dogs in the New Forest. He left the London rat-race to build a career as a Head Gardener on a country estate. However, he’s ready to turn his attention away from tending to gardens, to tending to his heart, as he embarks on finding his future wife.

Caspar’s never had a serious relationship and puts his single status down to his past struggles with confidence; he says he’s never felt ready to find love.

While he feels settled and enjoys his life, Caspar now feels it’s time to step out of his comfort zone and give himself the chance of meeting a wife!

Kieran
28, Mechanic, Newcastle

“I’ve been unlucky in love. I’ve been heartbroken and messed around and I really need the experts’ advice.”

Roll up, roll up and meet Geordie lad Kieran. Independent and self-motivated, Kieran has always had the drive to learn new talents and embrace any situation that comes his way.

After studying an apprenticeship in mechanics, Kieran decided to down tools and to join the circus to train as a clown. He has since returned to his life as a mechanic.

Living with his dog Hugo in a caravan in the picturesque woodland, Kieran would like someone petite and naturally beautiful that is also into music.   It’s crucial that they are spontaneous and ambitious.

Will the experts be able to juggle all these requirements?

Nathan
24, Engineer, Somerset

“It will be cool to meet someone. Hopefully we’re on the same vibe.”

Ready for any challenge that’s thrown at him, Nathan is a manufacturing engineer who is no stranger to the attention of women.

Tired of dating gym bunnies and models, Nathan joined the MAFS UK experiment as he wants to get started on a big family and find a partner who he can connect with on a deeper level. He may be young, but he knows exactly what he wants from his future bride.

His perfect match needs to be petite, funny, family oriented and someone with traditional family values.

Will the experts be able to engineer true love for Nathan?

Orson
41, Project Engineer, St Kitts and Nevis

“I want to get married as I feel that is the only thing missing from my life.”

Cherishing his heritage as a proud native of St Kitts, Orson was raised by his mother and grandmother who instilled in him strong family values.

After dedicating his early life to playing cricket professionally, a career-ending injury forced him to retire and ultimately pursue a career in engineering.

His two-year-old daughter is the light of his life and he puts her happiness above everything else. At the same time, he knows he wants to make a deeper connection with a future partner and dive back into the world of dating.

Orson is looking for someone who is very open, family orientated and spontaneous. Will this ex-cricketer be bowled over in love?

Ross
32, Painter & Decorator, Manchester

“I’ve been engaged before and this is my third time lucky. I’m looking forward to meeting my wife. I’m ready for this.”

Born and bred Mancunian Ross comes from a large family who are all very close. Born deaf, Ross wears two hearing aids, but has never let this define who he is and what he wants to do in life.

He played for Everton Deaf football club, and was scouted for Team GB trials aged 17, before being confirmed for the first Deaf England squad. He played all over the world until two years ago when he gave it up so he could be close to home for his daughter, who he cites as the centre of his universe.

Having had three serious relationships in the past, Ross has been single for the past three years and is ready to find ‘the one’. He wants someone with banter, who is easy to communicate with and has strong family values.
