Mickey Rourke And Anthea Turner Join Terry Tibbs

Category: News Release

Kayvan Novak stars as Terry Tibbs, car salesman turned international television star of E4's Fonejacker and Channel 4's Facejacker. He has finally hit the big time by securing his own prime time chat show, Verry Terry.

In his own unique way Terry will be talking to a variety of celebrity guests and members of the studio audience. The very first guests to join him in his studio are Hollywood legend and all round tough guy Mickey Rourke - actor (The Wrestler, Sin City, 9½ Weeks), screenwriter and retired boxer - and housewives' favourite, TV presenter Anthea Turner.

Head of Comedy Shane Allen says: "Kayvan is an extremely fertile and versatile character comedian with awesome powers of improvisation. Terry Tibbs is a brilliant invention and we are delighted to encourage Kayvan's growth as a major force in British comedy."

Jimmy Mulville comments: "We're very lucky to have Terry Tibbs in his own show before he has to take up permanent residence in a country with no extradition treaty with Britain." Kayvan Novak adds: "This show is going to be the bee's balls."

Verry Terry (1 x 30 mins) has been commissioned by Shane Allen, Head of Comedy at Channel 4 as part of Funny Fortnight, the two week extravaganza of brand new shows to be broadcast in August. It is produced by Christopher Barbour and Tom Thostrup (Facejacker) and directed by Barbara Wiltshire (Would I Lie To You?, The IT Crowd). The Executive

Producer is Helen Williams. It is a Hat Trick production for Channel 4.
