More 4 to take viewers on a Spice Trip
Category: News ReleaseMore 4 has commissioned brand new series Spice Trip (w/t) which will uncover the mysterious and wonderful world of spices.
The series will be fronted by award-winning chef Stevie Parle and spice expert Emma Grazette, who both have a real passion for spices and aim to produce the definitive spice bible to get viewers cooking and filling their homes with the sensuous palette of aromatic spices.
Made by Alchemy TV, the programme follows Stevie and Emma as they travel to some of the most stunning and exotic countries on earth to learn everything there is to know from the world's greatest experts - the people who grow spices and use them every day.
In each episode, Stevie and Emma will research a common spice in its country of origin, taking inspiration from the plantations and locals they visit. Steve will then create wonderful recipes while Emma will experiment with the spice's therapeutic properties.
With a mixture of simple recipes, handy tips and stunning locations, Spice Trip is a colourful, up-lifting travelogue that will take viewers through a real journey of discovery.
Spice Trip was commissioned by Channel 4's Deputy Head of Features, Andrew Jackson and will be executive produced by Nicola Gooch. The 6x60 series will air this autumn on More 4.
Andrew Jackson said: "Stevie is one of the most exciting new food talents and we're thrilled to have him on the channel. With him cooking up a spice storm and Emma's inspirational and ingenious uses for the spices, this series will be a treat for all the senses."
