Faraz’s quiet life working at an isolated petrol station is turned upside down when his ageing father, Malik, begins to speak in a long-forgotten language and insists on returning back home.
Described by the Cannes selectors as a “Spielberg-esque sci-fi film on immigration and heritage”, NAPTHA is the second short film selected to screen at the prestigious film festival by upcoming British writer/director Moin Hussain, whose debut feature is currently in development with Film4.
Film4 and Film London present a Foreign Material production in association with Conspire Pictures.
Starring Divian Ladwa and Ernest Ignatius, produced by Ali Mansuri and Tom Kimberley, written and directed by Moin Hussain.
