PhoneShop

Category: News Release

New comedy series PhoneShop arrives on E4 this autumn with episode 1 airing Thursday October 7th at 10pm.

A success story from Channel 4's groundbreaking Comedy Showcase in 2009, the pilot episode won critical acclaim and a cult-following (with Ricky Gervais, Stephen Merchant and Harry Enfield among it's fans) before being commissioned for a full series on E4.

Now new recruit Christopher is back on the high street in a bid to "shift units, make money, smash targets...." and no one knows more about that than his PhoneShop colleagues, Ashley, Jerwayne and Janine.

Their position as ‘Kings of the High Street' is in jeopardy for the first time after top salesman Little Gary Patel landed himself back in jail and PhoneShop boss Lance believes young Christopher is his new secret weapon.

Under the careful tutorage of Lance's ‘sales professionals', the eager-to-please, nervous graduate will learn to ensure that every mug punter within five square miles gets locked down to the tightest and most expensive mobile phone contract known to mankind.

Together it's their job to make sure all threats are neutralized and all enemies defeated.

PhoneShop has been written, directed and produced by Phil Bowker (Pulling, Sean Lock's 15 Storeys High) and features a hugely-talented ensemble core cast, including Tom Bennett (Pulling), Andrew Brooke (Pulling, Cemetery Junction), Emma Fryer (Home Time, Ideal), Javone Prince (Horrible Histories) and Martin Trenaman (The Inbetweeners) with cameo support from Kayvan Novak (Fonejacker, Facejacker) as area manager Razz Prince.
