A Q&A with Lucy Dixon of Hollyoaks

It's a big week for Tilly as she makes exciting plans to leave Hollyoaks with her lover (and teacher), Jen. But when Jen turns down the offer, Tilly decides to take revenge and gets arrested in the process!

Who do you play? Tilly Evans 

 

How would you describe the character you play?

Loyal, kind-hearted, intelligent, generous, impulsive and she wears her heart on her sleeve.

 

Are you anything like them in real life?

I'd like to think I'm loyal like Tilly and I'm generous with my family, my boyfriend and my friends.

 

If you could play any other character, who would you choose, and why?

Terry the dog, because he gets to eat treats and lie down all day :)

 

How long have you been in Hollyoaks?

Just over a year now!

 

What's been your favourite scene to shoot in Hollyoaks?

There are a few actually, but I'd have to say the scene in Abersoch, when we all arrived in Maddie's car - the sun was shining, I was with six of my friends on the beach, spraying Champagne and dancing around. What could be better than that?!

 

And your worst?

Whenever we film in the Sixth Form Common Room in Summer - it is like a sauna!!

 

What would be your ideal storyline for your character?

To film her going to America and touring the parks with Callum Kane! 

 

Who is the hottest cast member?

Most definitely Laurie Duncan who plays Callum! He's GORGEOUS!

 

Have you ever given anyone a Hollyoaks calendar as a present?

Nope!

 

Do you ever use your job to jump queues for bars, clubs etc?

Haha, no. If I did they'd probably say "who are you?!"

 

Do you ever get sent any weird fan mail?

I've been sent lovely things like a t-shirt saying "I Love Jelly" and gorgeous hand-made handbags with personal designs on, but nothing strange. 

 

What's your favourite joke?

 What cheese do you use to entice a bear out of a cave? 

- Camembert!

(makes me chuckle every time!)

 

Who's your best mate in the cast?

Laurie Duncan :) but I have a group of really close friends too.

 

Who's the worst in the cast for inappropriate laughter?

 Georgia Bourke, who plays Lacey Kane!

 

Who's the worst for forgetting lines?

Nobody really, I sometimes struggle to get the words out of my mouth and it comes out as gobbledygook.

 

What's the best thing about being in Hollyoaks?

The friends I've made.

 

What's the worst?

When you have to pretend it's Summer in -3 degrees wearing a flimsy dress!
