The Returned

Channel 4, has announced it has acquired the U.K. premiere broadcast rights to The Returned (Les Revenants) from Zodiak Rights.

In a small Alpine village, in the shadow of a vast dam, a small group of men, women and children find themselves in a state of confusion, trying to return to their homes. What they do not yet know is that they have been dead for several years, and no-one is expecting them back.  What is more their arrival coincides with a series of gruesome murders which bear a chilling resemblance to the work of a serial killer from the past. This is a homecoming like no other.

The Returned (8x60) is written by Fabrice Gobert, Emmanuel Carrere (La Moustache) and Fabien Adda. Directed by Fabrice Gobert (Lights Out, Un Certain Regard section of the 2010 Cannes Film Festival) and Frédéric Mermoud (Complices).  Produced by Haut et Court TV, a Canal+ Original Programming, with the participation of Jimmy and Ciné+ In association with Backup Films and B Media Export, with the support of Rhône-Alpes Regional Fund,  CNC, MEDIA a European Union’s Program, Procirep-Angoa, Zodiak Rights, Studiocanal.
