WRITERS

Paul Abbott – Currently story lining the whole of Shameless Series 11, Shameless US, American Blockbuster movie State of Play.

Danny BrocklehurstBAFTA and International Emmy-winning English screenwriter. Currently completing writing for British TV series Accused. Recently taken on the writer and Executive Producer role for HBO series Dirty.  Exile starring John Simm and Jim Broadbent, created by Paul Abbott.

Emma Frost – Emma was featured as a writer in Screen International's 'Stars Of Tomorrow' movie talent list 2009.  Lead writer on the The White Queen for BBC One (an adaptation of the Philippa Gregory’s best selling novels’ series The Cousins War) airing in 2013, Consuming Passion feature film, TV adaptation of Daniel Defoe’s classic novel Roxana for BBC in-house drama.

Jack Thorne – Writer of BAFTA award-winning TV series The Fades. Co-  Writer on This is England ’86, This is England '88, lead writer on the hit UK drama Skins. Co-created Cast-offs (nominated for Royal Television Society Best Drama series 2010). Writer of the British Film The Scouting Book for Boys starring Holliday Grainger and Rafe Spall.

Sean Conway – Writer and producer on new US Showtime series Ray Donovan. Co – creator and Co-writer of new BBC series Driven.  Writer on Hit & Miss, created by Paul Abbott.

Amanda Coe – Writer of BBC4 movie feature Margot, TV adaption of John Braine’s Room at the Top and TV mini-series Mister Eleven.

Malcolm Campbell – Writer of What Richard Did which premiered at the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival. Writer on TV series Monday, Monday and Skins.

Carmel Morgan – Most Recently has been writing regularly for Coronation Street and British TV comedy Drop Dead Gorgeous.

Jim Poyser – Writer on TV series documentary I Shouldn’t be Alive, Producer of TV comedy series In with the Flynns and British movie Inn Mates.

Stephen Russell – Recent TV writing credits include BBC 4’s Hattie, BBC One’s Garrow’s Law and featured writer on hit British TV series Monroe on ITV.

Ed McCardie – Writer and Co-Producer of Shameless Series 6 and 9.

Jack Lothian – Recent writing credits include Shameless Series 11, Sky1 drama series Sinbad, BBC series Death in Paradise , Ashes to Ashes, Beaver Falls, Skins and ITV series Doc Martin.

Ben Edwards – Recent writing credits include Series 2 of the hit Sky TV series Stella starring Ruth Jones, Writer on seasons 2 and 3 of British TV series Trollied, The Armstrong and Miller Show and Wild at Heart.

Sarah Hooper – Currently writing and producing British comedy TV drama series Mount Pleasant.

 

ACTORS

 

Anne Marie Duff (Fiona Gallagher series 1&2 and 11)

Currently filming on Molly Moon: The Incredible Hypnotist, BBC series Parade’s End, Margot, feature film Nowhere Boy and the stage play Berenice at the Donmar Warehouse. She is married to James Mcavoy (whom she met on Shameless) and gave birth to their first child in 2010.

 

James McAvoy (Steve McBride series 1&2)  

Starred in X-men First Class, Arthur Christmas, Gnomeo and Juliet, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, The Last King of Scotland, Atonement, Wanted. James is also set to star in Welcome to the Punch, Filth, Trance and X-Men: Days of Future Past in 2013 and will be starring as Macbeth on stage at Trafalgar Studios in 2013. James met his wife Anne Marie Duff on the set of Shameless.

David Threlfall – Currently filming Shameless series 11.  He is also one of the series directors and an Executive Producer. Other acting credits include Nowhere Boy, Elizabeth: The Golden Age and Hot Fuzz.

Jody Latham (Lip Gallagher series 1-5 and returns series 11)  

Returning to his role as Lip Gallagher in Shameless in this final series. New series of Waterloo Road.  Played roles in EastEnders, The Fixer and Tulisa’s love interest in the music video Sight of You.

Gerard Kearns (Ian Gallagher series 1-7)

Starred in Mark of Cain, Red Riding, Moving On and has recently finished shooting Rowan Athale’s film Wasteland and TV series The Town.

Elliott Tittensor (Carl Gallagher series 1-9 and 11)

Leading role in the hit indie film Spike Island, Boys on Film 4: Protect Me from What I Want.

Rebecca Ryan (Debbie Gallagher series 1-6)

Recent acting credits include Monroe, Waterloo Road, Casualty and Doctors.

Maxine Peake (Veronica Ball series 1-4)

Currently filming The Village for BBC One, feature film Private Peaceful, Silk, Room at the Top, See No Evil, The Devil’s Whore, Confessions of a Diary Secretary, Hancock and Joan.

Samantha Siddall (Mandy Maguire series 1-6 & 8)

Most recently appeared in Casualty and has just finished appearing on stage in the national tour of Billy Liar.

Sean Guilder (Paddy Maguire series 2-7)

Starred in TV series: The Shadow Line, Monroe, Kidnap and Ransom and Inspector George Gently.

Dystin Johnson (Norma Starkey series 1 & 3-6)

Most recent TV roles have included series of Prisoners Wives and Monroe. Currently writing for the BBC.

Dean Lennox Kelly (Kev Ball series 1-4, 8 and 11)

Most recent TV credits include Sam in TV series Moving On and voicing the role of John Lennon in Yellow Submarine (a 3D adaptation of the classic Beatles animated feature film) and a leading role in the BBC series Sorted,The Invisibles.

Anthony Flanagan (policeman Tony series 1-3)

Currently filming The Village for BBC One. Other recent TV credits include Spooks, Doctor Who, Red Riding: In the Year of Our Lord, The Bill, Casualty, Survivors, Being Human, Prisoner’s Wives and The List.

Chris Bisson (Kash Karib series 1- 4 & 6)

Currently playing regular leading role in Emmerdale. Other recent TV credits include Hotel Babylon and Doctors.

Chris Coghill (Craig series 2-3)

Played a regular leading role in Eastenders and featured in films including Nowhere Boy (directed by Sam Taylor–Wood), and hit indie movie Spike Island.

Gillian Kearney  (Sue series 2-4)

Most recently was one of the leading roles in the feature film Harrigan’s. Other recent TV credits include Casualty, Justice and Silent Witness.

Jack Deam (Marty Fisher series 1-4 & 8-10)

Currently filming for Shameless Series 11.  Other recent TV roles include DCI Banks and 32 Brinkburn Street.

Lindsey Dawson (Jockey landlady, Jez series 1-4)

Recent TV appearances include Waterloo Road and the Eleventh Hour.

Maggie O’ Neill (Sheila Jackson series 1-4)

Most recently played a regular leading role in EastEnders. Other TV credits include Inspector George Gently and New Tricks and TV mini series Little Devil.

Kelli Hollis (Yvonne Karib series 1-7 and 11)

Most recently played a recurring role in Emmerdale. Other TV credits include Doctors, Holby City and Moving On.

Annabelle Apsion (Monica Gallagher series 1 & 3-6 & 8 & 11)

Currently filming The Village for BBC One and the final series of Shameless. Other TV credits include In with the Flynns, Moving On, Holby City, A Mother’s Son and Doctors.

Marjorie Yates (Carol Fisher series 1-4)

Most recent TV appearances include Above Suspicion, Doctors, Heartbeat and Casualty.

Ben Batt (Joe Pritchard series 6-7)

Currently shooting for his regular role in the BBC series Prisoners Wives, Scott and Bailey, Sirens and The Promise. He is engaged to Rebecca Atkinson (who plays Karen Maguire) whom he met whilst filming on the set of Shameless.

DIRECTORS

Mark Mylod- Currently an Executive Producer and Director on the US ABC series Once Upon a Time.  Currently an Executive Producer and regular Director on the US series of Shameless.

Jonny Campbell – Currently filming the BBC series In the Flesh, recently directed for Doctor Who and the BBC film Eric and Ernie.

Dearbhla Walsh – Directed the 2012 drama series Public Enemies, starring Anna Friel and Daniel Mays, The Silence, The Tudors, Borgia and Little Dorrit.

Peter Lydon – Currently in pre-production for the feature film The Devil and the Frog. Other TV credits include Secret Diary of a Call Girl, Mistresses, Garrow’s Law. He directed the short film Uncle Santa (written by Meera Syal) which aired on Christmas Day 2010 and was the first ever 3D drama commission in Europe.

David Evans – Recent TV credits include directing on Downton Abbey, Whitechapel, Shameless and TV movie Mysterious Creatures.

Catherine Morshead – Recently finished directing the new series of The Hour. Other TV credits include Ashes to Ashes, Silk, Doctor Who and the TV movie Lapland.

Jim O’Hanlon – Recently completed directing the British comedy series A Touch of Cloth, Of Two Times, The Reckoning, The Deep, Wild at Heart and Emma.

Paul Norton Walker – Recently finished directing the British TV sitcom Trollied, Scott and Bailey. Other TV credits include Hollyoaks and Casualty.

Noreen Kershaw – Currently a director on Coronation Street. Previous credits include Justice and Moving On.

Fraser Macdonald – Currently directing series 8 of Waterloo Road. Previous TV credits include Holby City, Casualty, Secret Diary of a Call Girl and the current project of the Whitbread nominated book Jellyroll which Fraser will adapt and direct.

Jim Loach – Currently directing TV series Life of Crime (starring Hayley Atwell). Other credits include Casualty, Hotel Babylon, Holby City and DCI Banks.
