T4 on the Beach

The UK's most popular summer beach party returns to the tellybox as T4 On The Beach gets ready to rock for its ninth year!

The big event, sponsored by Aygo by Toyota, returns to Weston-super-Mare on Sunday 10th July ready to provide the ultimate viewing pleasure for fans who can't get enough of their pop music fix and who are counting down the days until the summer holidays officially starts.

Get ready for memorable performances from some of the biggest names in music including JLS, Jessie J, Olly Murs, The Wanted, N-Dubz, Example, Jason Derulo, McFly, Tinchy Stryder, Nicola Roberts, Katy B and Cher Lloyd. Fans should also look out for some surprise duets and show-stopping choreography that will have viewers dancing in front of their TVs. This year, T4 has also installed a special podium so fans can watch interviews with the stars while they are standing 40ft high in the air!

On top of the music, there will be a number of special celebrity guests getting stuck in to fun and games with the T4 gang including cast from The Only Way Is Essex and Made In Chelsea facing off in a game of giant volleyball! Familiar faces from Hollyoaks and Skins will also grace the stage and more top names from the world of television will also be heading down to the beach to give fans a very special treat.

Jameela Jamil, Rick Edwards and Nick Grimshaw swap the T4 studio for the bright lights of Weston super-Mare as they host the event in front of over 45,000 screaming fans. Meanwhile, Matt Edmondson and Georgie Okell will be giving viewers the inside scoop on the latest news and gossip as part of the main T4 Sunday show with the build up starting live from 8am on the day as the final preparations are put in place!

T4 On The Beach broadcasts in a jam-packed 3 hour 40 minute show on Channel 4 on Sunday 10th July, kicking off at 1.45pm. The show is immediately followed by a repeat on the 4Music channel from 5.25pm so fans can catch all the action again in its full glory and even try spotting themselves on TV if they are lucky enough to be seen in the crowd!

For those that aren't in front of a TV on the day, there will be two highlights shows featuring all the best performances from the day's event. T4 On The Beach: Sessions in association with Cancer Research UK broadcasts on T4 on 17th July with highlights from the Sessions stage, while further highlights from the main stage will be showcased in T4 On The Beach: Buried Treasures to be shown in July on T4. As an additional treat, T4 will also broadcast ten special 'Postcard' shows in association with Rimmel London, airing in August, which gives fans a glimpse into what goes on behind-the-scenes on the day with some of their favourite acts, including The Wanted, Nicola Roberts, Alexis Jordan and Example.
