The Turner Prize returns to Channel 4 in December with a dedicated half-hour programme during which the winner of the £40,000 prize fund will be announced. The Prize, established in 1984, is awarded to a British artist under 50 for an outstanding exhibition or other presentation of their work in the year preceding 4 April 2011.

The four shortlisted artists are sculptor Karla Black, painter George Shaw, film artist Hilary Lloyd and sculptor Martin Boyce. Watch profiles of all four here.
