The film was produced by Marcel Mettelsiefen, Teresa Smith and Agnieszka Liggett for Channel 4 News
Dorothy Byrne, Head of News & Current Affairs says: “ These were outstanding pieces of journalism which also succeeded in making viewers care deeply about the victims of the wars in Syria and Afghanistan.”
Nevine Mabro, Channel 4 News foreign editor says: “This film is an emotionally devastating look at the reality of Syria’s war two years on. A memorable and important piece of stand out journalism by Marcel, whose determination to expose the plight of Syrian civilians required gaining people’s trust and putting himself at great risk.”
