Please do your utmost to publicise these amazing programmes. We've been told that if we don't hit at least 50 per cent share for our week 28 programmes, Jay Hunt will turn these lovely kittens into a coat.

Another chance to see this special episode of River Cottage. Philip Glenister, Keeley Hawes and Felicity Kendal swap the stage for the kitchen, and fancy shoes for wellies, to join Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall in a cookery masterclass. Over two days of good cooking and fun on the farm, Hugh introduces his trio to the ways of River Cottage, the importance of seasonal, ethical produce, and the delights of home-grown, home-cooked food.

Thelma's Gypsy Girls 1/6

Dressmaker Thelma Madine, from Big Fat Gypsy Weddings, has decided she wants to give something back to the people who put her on the map. In this new series she takes the decision to employ ten new trainees, all of whom are gypsies or travellers. For the gypsy girls it's the opportunity of a lifetime. But for existing staff it feels like a serious upheaval, and for Thelma it could be out of the frying pan and into the fire.

Coming Up 2/7: Ben and Lump

Channel 4's annual talent initiative, which gives up-and-coming writers and directors the opportunity to showcase their work, is now in its 11th year. In this episode Ben (Lewis Reeves) returns home for Christmas after his first term at university. Meanwhile best friend Lump (This Is England's Thomas Turgoose) can't find a job and now his dad insists he joins the army. The holiday season forces the friends to acknowledge the different directions their lives have taken.

Gordon Behind Bars 3/4

Gordon's been at Brixton Prison for two months and it's time his Bad Boy Bakery business started bringing in some proper money. The kitchen brigade is already two men down and facing the challenges from the prison system is beginning to take its toll on Gordon. So Gordon comes up with an easy-to-manufacture lemon treacle slice, aiming to get it into a major coffee shop chain and scale up production. He invites big players from the coffee shop industry to sample the goods. But will anyone be interested in his prison made product?

Discussing salaries is one of the biggest taboos in the workplace. Everyone is curious about how much their workmates earn but would never dare to ask. In this remarkable TV experiment one of Britain's top bosses, Charlie Mullins, the Managing Director of Pimlico Plumbers, takes it upon himself to encourage a more open working environment by asking his workforce to reveal how much they are paid. When the reveal exposes huge pay discrepancies, creating a terrible atmosphere, Charlie challenges them to come up with a new pay scheme that's fairer for everyone. But will the experiment result in a better and more productive working environment for everyone?

Businessman David Fishwick is so fed up with the way that the banks are treating people he's decided to see if he can open his own tiny bank to serve his local community in Burnley, and help the people the banks have turned down. Dave's plan is to open an old fashioned bank and be a hands-on bank manager giving good rates to borrowers and savers alike. And instead of bankers bonuses, Dave plans for any profits to go to local charities. In the first of this two-part series Dave goes about learning how banks operate - despite almost everyone in banking telling him to forget the idea...
