Avalanches begin when they reach the tipping point angle of 38 degrees.

 

The .38 Smith and Wesson Special was the standard issue police round in the US from the 1920s to the 1990s.

The 38th parallel was the line dividing North and South Korea before the Korean War.

I am 38 (for another six days - presents accepted at the usual address). I thought when I was 38 I'd be head of a multinational company, Prime Minister, QPR manager or a successful novelist - or possibly all four. Instead, I'm writing this unspeakable drivel. How did that happen?
