Week 45 Highlights

My Transsexual Summer

In the song ‘Brimful of Asha', there are repeated references to the number 45.

The 45 refers to old 45 records.

For the younger readers, 45 records were so called because they were played at 45 rpm.

(Though they sounded well funny if you played them at 33 rpm.)

Rpm refers to the number of revolutions per minute of the record.

A record was something played on a record player.

A record player was like a CD player, only older.

CDs were what people used before mp3 players.

Mp3 players were what people used before iPods.

Man, I feel OLD.

Here are week 45's highlights on Channel 4.
