The Windsors Royal Wedding Special

Category: News Release

The outrageous satirical comedy returns to celebrate the royal event of the year.

Harry (Richard Goulding) and Meghan (Kathryn Drysdale) are excited about their impending marriage but before their big day, they must take Charles (Harry Enfield) to America to meet Doria (Suzette Llewellyn), Meghan's down-to-earth mum. Having never left home before without his army of staff, Charles does nothing to reassure Doria's concerns about Meghan marrying into the royal family and throws an unwelcome spanner into the wedding plans. Which isn’t helped when Harry disappears on the alcohol-free stag night Meghan has insisted on organising for him.

Back in the UK, Wills (Hugh Skinner) and Kate (Louise Ford) are struggling to cope with the added duties of having a third child, leading to a marital crisis. When Wills is forced to step in and protect his subjects from the net of Windsor's evil Trampcatcher (Paul Kaye), things go from bad to worse. Meanwhile, with Eugenie (Celeste Dring) now engaged, Beatrice (Ellie White) is left feeling lonely and worried about not having a plus one for the wedding, when a hunky political firebrand sweeps her off her feet and causes her to question the very institution of marriage. Which is no help to Eugenie when Anne (Vicki Pepperdine) decides her upcoming wedding plans are unnecessarily extravagant.

Elsewhere, unsure whether she's going to get an invite from Harry or not, Fergie (Katy Wix) finds an ingenious way to ensure that she is. Camilla (Haydn Gwynne), jealous of the attention Harry and Meghan are getting, continues to stir up trouble for the junior royals. And Pippa (Morgana Robinson) has a violent reaction to Harry’s looming marriage which brings out the worst side of her jealous nature.

Will the bride and groom make it to the church on time?
