Produced by Eagle Eye Drama (Before We Die, Professor T, The Couple Next Door), the second series of Suspect returns to Channel 4 this Summer to stream and watch live on Wednesday 17th July.

Anne-Marie Duff (Bad Sisters, The Salisbury Poisonings) leads the cast as Dr Susannah Newman, who is now on a desperate quest to find the truth about her daughter’s tragic death.  When a mysterious new client Jon Fallow (Dominic Cooper; Preacher, Mamma Mia!) makes a disturbing confession under hypnosis, Susannah is forced to embark on her own deadly mission to save a life, the way she couldn’t do with her own daughter…

Also joining the cast for the second series are Ben Miller (Paddington 2, Professor T) as Detective Superintendent Richard Groves, Tamsin Greig (Friday Night Dinner, Belgravia) as Natasha Groves, Vinette Robinson (Boiling Point, The Lazarus Project) as Louisa McAdams, Eddie Marsan (The Thief, His Wife and the Canoe, Ray Donovan) as Alistair Underwood, Celine Buckens (Showtrial, The Ex-Wife) as Sapphire, Nicholas Pinnock (Top Boy, For Life) as Joseph Buckley, and Gina McKee (Bodyguard, Our Friends in the North) as Kate.

Directed by Carolina Giammetta (Before We Die, Hollington Drive), Episodes 1 to 4 have been written by Joy Wilkinson and Episodes 5 to 7 have been written by David Allison. Jo McGrath and Walter Iuzzolino are the executive producers and Dylan Rees is the series producer.

Adapted from the Danish original Forhøret (Face to Face), Suspect S2 has been produced in association with Happy Duck Films and the Belgian Tax Shelter. Fremantle handle global sales.

Synopses

Episode 1 - Jon
The psychological crime drama returns, starring Anne-Marie Duff and Dominic Cooper. When a mysterious client makes a shock confession, Susannah embarks on a deadly mission.

Episode 2 - Richard & Natasha
Suspecting that he is hiding something, Susannah locks horns with her ex-lover Richard (Ben Miller) and his wife Natasha (Tamsin Greig).

Episode 3 - Louisa
Susannah seeks out her hostile ex-client Louisa (Vinette Robinson). But as Louisa begins to open up, Susannah realises they could both be in danger.

Episode 4 - Alistair
Susannah makes a shocking discovery at the psychiatric hospital where Danny is being detained. Is Dr Underwood (Eddie Marsan) hiding something?

Episode 5 -Sapphire
Susannah learns some devastating truths about her daughter’s death and comes to a terrifying realisation about the next target.

Episode 6 - Joseph
Facing imminent danger, Susannah seeks the help of ex-client Joseph (Nicholas Pinnock), as her search for the truth becomes increasingly desperate.

Episode 7 - Kate
Susannah tracks Sapphire’s (Celine Buckens) location but is shocked by what – or who – she finds.

Episode 8 - Emma & Ben
Series finale of the psychological crime drama. In a gripping showdown, Susannah makes a disturbing discovery and comes face-to-face with a monster.
