26 nominations for Channel 4 in BAFTA Television Awards shortlist

This year’s BAFTA Television Awards shortlist was released today and we are all quite frankly cock-a-hoop (always wanted to say that) here with 26 nominations, just one short of our record amount from 2014. Channel 4 received an impressive 22 nominations whilst E4 and More4 picked up 2 nominations each. The nominations are across a range of genres with This Is England ’90 leading the way with three nods (Mini-series, Leading Actor and Supporting Actress), two nominations for Chewing Gum (Female Performance in a Comedy Programme and Scripted Comedy) and a nomination for our coverage of The Grand National.
