8 Out of 10 Cats returning after hiatus

Conundrum comedy quiz mash up 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown is back on Friday nights and since returning to its 9pm slot in May, has proven to be Channel 4’s most watched show across the day.

Back on 19th June after a week’s hiatus, the much loved letters and numbers quiz promises more comedy, conundrums and celebrity guests than you can shake a stick at. Plus there’ll be some very special guest captains standing in for regular team captain Jon Richardson including Lee Mack and Sarah Millican.

Guests from the comedy and entertainment world showing off their impressive (or perhaps not) letters and numbers skills in upcoming episodes include: Mel Giedroyc, Vic Reeves, Johnny Vegas, Freddie Flintoff, Roisin Conaty, Rhod Gilbert, Rob Beckett, Sara Pascoe, Adam Buxton, Joe Lycett, Alex Horne & The Horne Section and David O’Doherty.

Jimmy Carr hosts with 8 out of 10 Cats team captain Sean Lock, numbers boffin Rachel Riley and Countdown’s resident lexicographer Susie Dent.
