Amazing Productions to make new Channel 4 daytime property series

Channel 4 has announced a 20 x 60’ commission from Amazing Productions of Bang On Budget. The series will be presented by Lucy Alexander and builder Harry Hoffen. Together they will help create stunning makeovers, whilst hopefully not spending a penny more than they bargain for. 

Each 60’ episode will follow a different household undertaking projects in their property. The family will be shown inspirational versions of their rooms, all done on various budgets, and pick their favourite. It will then be up to Lucy and builder Harry to try and replicate whichever rooms they pick, but they will have to stick to the owners’ budget. If they go over on one room will have to claw back cash in another to balance the books.

Together they will use their creativity and building know-how to come up with smart solutions, from clever little life hacks to serious renovation. They will show viewers how to get the look for less, and work out when you should shell out for a really key piece of kit, and when can you afford to use something that costs practically nothing.

“I’m really excited to be working with Amazing Productions on this series” said Lucy. “Having just done up my own property I know all too well that there are always ‘unforeseens’ that can blow a big hole in your budget when you take on a build. It’s going to be a massive challenge for me and Harry to get all the makeovers to come in bang on budget, but we are going to pull out all the stops to help people get the homes they want for the cash they have”.
