Award Success For Channel 4 News and Current Affairs

Channel 4 News and Current Affairs scooped two awards at last night’s One World Media Awards. 

Now in its 26th year, the awards recognise excellence in international media coverage.

The Television Award went to Dispatches: Children on the Frontline, a deeply moving film about the children of Syria, who are often the forgotten victims in the ongoing civil war. 

This was photojournalist Marcel Mettelsiefen long-form debut, produced by ITN Productions.  

Channel 4 News reporter Guillermo Galdos received the accolade of International Journalist of the Year. 

Galdos has spent the last ten years making documentaries and producing exclusive news stories from Latin and South America.  He has covered human rights abuses, the drug trade, immigration and exposed police corruption and the human trafficking industry

The One World Media Awards was presented by Jon Snow at Kings Place in London.
